I believe that therapy is both an individual and a collaborative process between a client and the therapist. Psychotherapy begins with developing a safe space for experiencing inner authenticity and developing awareness about life patterns, struggles, hopes and desires. We all possess the ability to be present in our lives and manage the difficult path on which we sometimes find ourselves. Therapy is a place to grow inner resources that honor a client’s life history and emotions about the past, present, and future.

Psychotherapy can help you to go beyond the fear that you are not good enough or that you "can't do it."  You can create the life you want to live by finding the joy in relationships and finding the answers within yourself. I will provide a space in which this is possible. I work with adults, couples, and children.

In my work I draw on the mystery of the unknown. Sitting with the creativity of an open mind, I empower clients to turn within for the answers to their life struggles. As I sit with people, I am moved, humbled and deeply appreciate the humanness and the wisdom that my clients and I share as people living on this earth. I trust that my clients' life circumstances, direct experience, and relationships hold a key to their wholeness. My work is inspired by an inquiry   process called "The Work" of Byron Katie, EMDR, mindfulness, and a passion for truth. I work with couples, individuals and groups.

I am deeply committed to the healing power of psychotherapy. In therapy, people who suffer in isolation can learn to form nourishing relationships, and those who feel estranged from their authentic self can shift to a more integrated sense of well being. My style is a client-centered, humanistic and cognitive approach integrating the body and the mind. I love working with people around the general issues they struggle with, as well as more complex and longstanding challenges. Asking for help with these challenges takes courage and I have immense respect for those who do.

You may question the choices you have made; your relationships, your career and your spiritual beliefs. I believe that we all have an inner wise voice that can guide us with our choices in life. This voice often needs to nurtured, seen and heard in order to grow. With your permission, I would like to accompany you on your journey of personal empowerment. I am told that I am a warm empathic therapist and I like to use a client centered approach in my work. I am influenced by an existential framework and like to use mind-body-spirit integrative techniques and expressive arts (music and sound, writing, play). I work with families, children, adults and couples. I tend to attract people challenged with anxiety, depression, cross-cultural issues, trauma and life transitions.

In therapy, you are the expert who holds the wisdom of your unique life story. As a therapist, I become your guide and companion in a journey towards self-understanding and transformation. We will collaborate together in a safe space where your thoughts, feelings, and emotions can be explored. I work from a mind-body-spirit integrated approach and invite the possibility of expressive arts in therapy - drawing, painting, poetry, role-playing. With the combination of verbal and expressive arts therapy, understanding often arises that would be otherwise inaccessible. Speaking multiple languages and having traveled extensively, I'm aware of cultural differences and dynamics. I work with clients in English (my native language), Spanish, or Italian.
